Bachelorette Party Invitations

Once you've decided to host a bachelorette party for a friend, the first thing you'll need to do is set the date for the event. Most times it is held a week or two before the wedding. You don't want to have it the night before the big event - having a major hangover on such an important day is a real downer!

Next, the women involved in planning the bachelorette party will make some decisions as to what kind of party it will be. Does the bride want a night out on the town, an evening playing poker with friends, or perhaps a spa day? There's no hard and fast rule as to what the bachelorette party needs to be.

After the date and theme for the bachelorette party are decided, you'll need to put together a guest list. You can make it as simple or complex as you like with only one rule - women only!

The next step in the process is to get some bachelorette party invitations together. There are many different kinds of bachelorette party invitations you can use. Some people prefer not to have invitations at all - they simply call or email the women invited to the party. Other people prefer a more "formal" approach to the bachelorette party invitation (if there is such a thing as a "formal" bachelorette party, that is!). I guess another way to say "formal bachelorette party invitations" is to call them what they are - written invitations.

What should be included in a bachelorette party invitation? The date, time, location and theme of the bachelorette party are all important details. If all of the party goers are expected to pay for part of the festivities this should be specified as well. A contact name and phone number for guests to use to RSVP is also important (especially if you are going somewhere for the bachelorette party that requires a head count prior to the day of the event).

Depending on the type of event, the bachelorette party invitations should go out about a month prior to the date of the party. This will give ample time to determine the number of guests, purchase food for the party (if required) and to arrange for appropriate transportation (especially if the bachelorette party includes a night out on the town).

You can make the bachelorette party invitations as simple or as fancy as you like. Many office supply stores sell printer paper that is decorated in party themes - this is a rather inexpensive way to create your own bachelorette party invitations. You can also use a printer to make professional looking invitations. You don't have to worry if you don't know of a printer in your town - go to your favorite search engine and search on the term "bachelorette party invitations" and see how many on line stores there are that sell these products.

Finally, if you haven't heard from some of the guests a few days prior to the bachelorette party, you might want to give them a call or send an email to follow up to make sure they received the invitation. It would be a disappointment to someone to miss the bachelorette party because their invitation got lost in the mail, sent to an incorrect email address, or the person simply forgot to RSVP. The bachelorette party is traditionally for the close friends and family of the bride so you don't want anyone to feel left out because of a mishap with their bachelorette party invitation.
